Happy New Music Friday. It’s wild that there are only 3 weeks left in 2021 but I guess that’s just how it goes. This week is a little light compared to the last few but we still have plenty of new music for you to kick off your weekend.

This week we have new music from Rauw Alejandro, Maluma, Karol G, Nathy Peluso, Bizarrap, and many more. We also have a Deluxe version of J Balvin’s Jose. I won’t review that because it’s not much new but its out there if you’re interested.

For last week’s post, click here.

Without further ado, let’s get to work.

Desperados – Rauw Alejandro, Chencho Coreleone

If you remember my review of Vice Versa, you’ll remember me saying that I don’t know what the hell was up with Track 4. Well, 6 months later, here it is. I can’t decide whether I love this move or hate it. On one hand, it keeps interest in your album 6 months later. On the other hand, just release the whole thing at once. None of that has to do with the song, which I really like. I love Chencho and Rauw is one of the best artists of the year so this has all of the hallmarks of a song I would love. Needless to say, it delievers.

Friki – Feid, Karol G

I really enjoyed this one. Feid knows how to make some unique tracks and Karol G is the Queen of Reggaeton right now. Very good stuff.

FVCKBOI – KHEA, Lenny Tavarez

I can get down with this. It’s a little corny but that doesn’t knock it out of the “enjoyable” category. Give it a shot.

Cada Quien – Grupo Firme, Maluma

Maluma has dipped into the Mexican music scene a few times already. I would have to say, those previous attempts are better than this one. I really didn’t care for this song at all.

Morad: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol 47

Bizarrap is one of the most important artists of 2021. No one has been better at breaking new artists this year than him. I think this will be a huge moment in launch in Morad to an even higher level. This is very different than the other sessions so far and it feels very fresh and fun. I’m a big fan.

Vivir Asi Es Morir De Amor – Nathy Peluso

I saw the title of the song and thought to myself, “is Nathy Peluso really about to cover Camilo Sesto? Am I going to have to propose to her?”. The answer is a resounding yes to both. I love this on so many levels. Great song choice and a great execution from Peluso here.

Supremo – Fuego, De La Ghetto

Well good or bad first? Good is shouting “Smoking gas in the lambo” is a cool line. Bad is the rest of the song. Trash minus that one line.

Aqui Estoy – Tini

This is a pretty middle of the road average pop song. It’s pretty solid stuff.

Tarde o Temprano – Consculluela

When was the last time we heard from Consculluela? It has to be a long time right? Well, regardless this is a pretty solid song by his standards. It feels very similar to a lot of the stuff he’s put out in the past. I don’t have a problem with that be any means. It’s some good stuff.

Matilde Lina – Silvestre Dangond

Here’s some more folksy stuff for your playlist. This is the kind of song that makes you want to drive through rural Colombia in a convertible and just enjoy the weather. Great song and great vibes.
