J Balvin is without a doubt one of the biggest stars in the world right now. His latest album Colores was one of the best albums of 2020. Balvin’s collab with Jordan, the Jordan 1 J Balvin, sold out immediately and are now selling for more than twice their initial retail price. He even got his own celebrity meal at McDonald’s. Things have been going well for Balvin, to say the least.
Everyone knows the international anthems Mi Gente and I Like It (with Cardi B and Bad Bunny) but some of Balvin’s best work came in the years before these smashes. To be honest, Balvin has more hits than I can count at this point so we’re going to limit this blog to the very first years of his career. In the immortal words of Celebrity Deathmatch:
