Ladies and Gentlemen, it New Music Friday once again. This week we have a ton of new songs to go through. We have a ton of surprises this week with unexpected bangers from some smaller artists.

This week we have new music from J Balvin, Maluma, Anitta, Justin Quiles, Lunay, Camilo, Alejandro Sanz, and many many more.

For last week’s post, click here.

Sukutubla – Lalo Ebrat, Maluma

In the middle of his US tour, Maluma gives a new track alongside fellow Colombian Lalo Ebrat. This is a pretty solid track with a lot to enjoy. Lalo has not exploded like I would have expected last year but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still put out some bangers. Good stuff here.

Ten Cuidado – J Balvin

This is part of Pokemon’s 25th Anniversary. Now if there are two things I’ve enjoyed since I was young, it’s J Balvin and Pokemon. So I naturally love this combo. This is a fun novelty song and one you can come back to when you’re playing Pokemon or something like that. It’s not a bad song by any means but the subject matter really does not lend itself to a mainstream hit.

Unfollow – Justin Quiles, Duki, Bizarapp

Bizarrap really likes using the synth on this track. For Justin Quiles, who hasn’t put out the same heat that we’re used to from him, this is a good return to form. Duki also gives us a pretty solid performance. Pretty good stuff all around here.

Tu Recuerdo – Pacho El Antifeka, Lunay

I know this is technically Pacho’s song and all but this is all Lunay. This is one of the better Lunay tracks that he’s released this year, including on his album. This is some good stuff for him but not if you’re Pacho, solely because of how forgettable it is.

Indigo – Camilo, Evaluna Montaner

I think this is the first new single of the year that comes from a married couple. Evaluna’s father Ricardo was the topic of our Throwback Thursday series a few weeks back. This is a pretty cute track that’s clearly filled with love. The love this couple has for one another definitely comes out in this track.

Diablita – Mariah Angeliq

Like Nicki Nicole’s “Baby” last week, this just shows the strength that this new class of female artists has. Very good song and easily one of the best of the week. Let’s go, Mariah.

Dorito & Coca-Cola – Danny Ocean, Tokischa

I did not go into this song with high expectations. I didn’t like Tokischa’s song with J Balvin very much so I didn’t expect to like this. It was a lot better than I expected. It’s not my favorite Danny Ocean song by any means but it’s still pretty solid.

Faking Love – Anitta, Saweetie

Apparently unsatisfied with dominating the Latin market, Anitta is going after the English market. This song is going to definitely find it’s way into college girls’ playlists. No doubt in my mind there. Anitta is already a major Latin star and I think she’s on the verge of becoming a major star in the US.

XKITTLEZ – Kris Floyd, Arcangel

I don’t know much about Kris Floyd but this song is pretty good. It’s a very good trap record and it’s only improved by Arcangel’s inclusion. Good stuff, big New Music Friday surprise.

Sauce Boy Freestyle 5 – Eladio Carrion

I’m a big Carrion fan but this doesn’t really do it for me. This is the last Sauce Boy Freestyle which is a shame because it arguably ends on a low note. This just didn’t do much for me. Disappointing.

Hablame de Miami – Gente de Zona, Maffio

I said last New Music Friday, that I was pumped for Gente de Zona to come back. I’m just as pumped as I was then. This is a merengue song, which is a little out of their usual wheelhouse but it’s still a fun song and a good reintroduction to the legendary duo.

Cada Vez – Young Martino, Mora, Brray

I really like this track. It’s nothing wildly new or inventive but it’s just a solid fastball down the middle. Sometimes you just need a good, solid reggaeton track to get the mind focused.

Mares de Miel – Alejandro Sanz

We cover it all here at Pa La Cultura. From trap to salsa, from boleros to reggaeton, and literally everything in between. Here we have a ballad from Alejandro Sanz. There’s a stripped down and bare nature to this track. It feels raw, unplugged, and heartfelt. This isn’t going to be Sanz’s next radio smash but it’s a good song nonetheless.

Pa La Pared – Abrante, Darell, Brray, Rafa Pabon

This is a great example of a simple beat elevating a track to a different level. The simple underlying beat makes this an infectious track. I like this track and am probably going to back to it time and time again. Very good and unexpected song.

Dios No Se Equivoca – Luis Coronel

For our Mexican readers, here is our brief talk about Luis Coronel’s latest song. I don’t love this genre but this is a fine song. It’s nothing that will blow your hair back but it’s solid. That’s all I have to say.

Pa Que Bajen – Totoy El Frio, Alvaro Diaz, Caleb Calloway

And we’re back to our wheelhouse of reggaeton and urbano music. This is a pretty solid track that I almost skipped. I can see this being an underground hit. It probably won’t get the appreciation it deserves but will be a great song for the people who take the shot on it.

Tirame Un Hello – Ramon Vega

This song came out of literally nowhere. It came on the New Music Friday Latin shuffle after I was wrapped up with everything. Holy hell am I glad that it did. This is an awesome, 70s-feeling song that makes you want to wear a big collar, bright collars, and dance at a disco. Perfect song to end on. Let’s ride.
