Somehow it’s already the last New Music Friday of October. With Halloween just a few days away, I guess we should make this post at least somewhat Halloween related.

This week we have new releases from Anuel, Eladio Carrion, Myke Towers, Feid, C. Tangana and so many more. We also have new albums from Nikki Nicole, Blessd, and Alvaro Diaz among others (very busy week so those reviews will eventually be up).

For last week’s post, click here.

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

Dictadura – Anuel AA

The first single off his upcoming album, this is a pretty solid track. It’s not a bad song by any means but I hope it isn’t the high water mark for the album. It’s solid but nothing special.

Cuarentena – Eladio Carrion

A pretty solid track from Carrion. Hand up, I have to say I love the Nets hat solely because I’m a Nets fan. The song itself is pretty solid. Singles like this are steps along the way to Carrion hitting an even higher level.

Oh Na Na – Myke Towers, Camila Cabello, Tainy

Camila Cabello continues her ascent into Latin music this week. This track is pretty solid, not going to lie. Myke Towers always delivers some good performances and this is another one. If we’re comparing this track to others that Towers has done with English artists (Selena Gomez) then this is a big improvement.

Vacaxiones – Feid

This is one of the best Feid songs I’ve heard in a long time. This is one of the better examples of a song changing it up in the middle of the track and still working. Think of “La Romana” from Bad Bunny. This is a very fun song and one that will probably be my New Music Friday Track of the Week, an award I just invented.

Quiero Rumba – Anitta, Chimbala, Dimelo Flow

Talk about a quick hitter. There isn’t much to this song other than it’s pretty solid, fun, and enjoyable. Good stuff.

La Mitad – Nacho, Carlos Vives, Mike Bahia

Whenever I hear Carlos Vives I think of summer. Same goes for Nacho. The problem, which isn’t really a problem, is that it is currently in the 40s near me and raining. Not ideal for summer music. Regardless, this song has a lot of great Colombian vibes and is a track that would have been in my summer rotation if, you know, it was summer.

Close Friends – Alvaro Diaz

Solid track but nothing really to latch onto here. If you like Diaz you’ll probably like this. If not, probably not going to care for it.

Ella (Remix) – Boza, Lunay, Lenny Tavarez, Juhn, Beele

Keep an eye on Boza. This guy is going to be putting out some monster hits in the near future. Remixes like this are the perfect first step into hitting that next level. This remix takes an already good song and adds a lot of value to it. I’m a big fan.

360 – Marc Segui

All Segui does is put out hits. I mean, how does he keep doing it? What’s most impressive is that this is completely different from his last song. Segui has such a wide range and I love it. This is a fantastic song that makes you want to get up and dance. This might be the New Music Friday Track of the Week, that made up award from earlier.

La Importante – Darkiel, Jon Z, Alex Rose

I expected this to be a a nice slower, reggaeton track and it more or less is. There’s a nice beat input here that makes this a very fun song. I’m a fan. Alex Rose has been putting out some real quality tunes lately. Good for him.

R Sport – KEVVO

A pretty simple track. Not really much to it other than adding another solid track to Kevvo’s discography.

Manos En El Piso – PJ Sin Suela

This track ended up being a bit of a disappointment. When it starts you think to yourself, “oh boy, this is going to be a banger for the clubs”. Then it starts and its not really anything special. It’s just another average, slower track. Feel free to pass.

Gelato – Chucky73

I’ve generally enjoyed Chucky73’s stuff lately but this one just doesn’t do it for me. It’s not really that good. To be honest, I skipped it halfway through.

Tocarte – Jorge Drexler, C. Tangana

This is the kind of song I imagine you would hear in a Latin American Starbucks. It’s very muted and restrained. Now, I wouldn’t consider this a great song by any means but it’s fine. It’s a mix between flamenco and C. Tangana’s unique style. It’s not too bad but not my favorite song from the Spaniard.
