It’s New Music Friday once again and thank god for that. This week is

This week we have new songs from Anuel AA, Maluma, Anitta, Rosalia, Marc Anthony, Don Omar, Lyanno, Lunay, and a ton of others. We also have new albums from Micky Woodz and A. Chal (reviews coming TBD). We’re spoiled for choices this week.

For last week’s New Music Friday, click here.

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

Leyendas – Anuel AA

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think I might like this more than Anuel’s Bizzarrap session. This is something fresh, fun, and infectious. The video is great too. I’m a huge fan of this track. Can’t wait for the new album to drop.

La Fama – Rosalia, The Weeknd

Well The Weeknd is really diving deep into the Latin game now. After the Hawaii Remix with Maluma, he seems pretty dedicated to getting into Latin music. This is a pretty solid attempt. Rosalia really runs the show here. It’s by no means a bad track but its nothing that’s going to shatter worlds.

Mala – Marc Anthony

Nothing gets my attention more than a new song from Marc Anthony. This is another good salsa track from the legendary artist. This doesn’t touch his early 2000s records like Valio La Pena but it’s still a very good salsa track. There’s no denying he’s still the King of Salsa and this only solidifies his standing.

Mama Tetema – Maluma, Rayvanny

Another fun song for New Music Friday. This has some deep Caribbean vibes that really fall in line with Maluma’s album from earlier this year. This is a very enjoyable song that will get the people moving. It’s a departure from the usual reggaeton and that’s a refreshing change.

Se Menea – Don Omar, Nio Garcia

There’s plenty to be said for Don Omar’s character but his musical skill is beyond reproach. He manages to make this song to feel almost as classic as his early 2000s hits but still somehow fresh. It honestly doesn’t feel like he’s been out of music for as long as he realistically has been. This is a banger.

Dos Opciones – Lyanno, Lunay

Lyanno doesn’t get the same respect as Lunay but he definitely should. These two carry this track like Jordan and Pippen. This is a great track. Big fan here.

Envolver – Anitta

A pretty standard reggaeton track from Anitta here. It’s a good song that really brings her back into the wheelhouse of mainstream urban music. It’s safe if nothing else. I like it, worth the listen.

La Llamada – Pusho, Myke Towers

I was just expecting the usual reggaeton fare here. This is definitely more than that. I’m impressed with this outing from Pusho. Good stuff here.

Finde – iZaal, Jay Wheeler

This is a pretty average track. It doesn’t really do a ton for me on any front. Not bad but also nothing special. You’ve heard this song plenty of times before.

A Veces – Corina Smith, Arcangel

A lot of R&B vibes here and I dig it. Corina Smith really drives this track while Arcangel is there to give her some support. I can get down with this track for sure.

La Oportunidad (Spotify Sessions) – Blessd

There isn’t anything really groundbreaking here. This song sounds a lot like all of the other songs that Blessd has put out. With that being said, read our review of his debut album here.

Otra Noche – Los Angeles Azules, Nicki Nicole

This cumbia trend is really starting to catch on. Add Nicki Nicole to the list of artists to dip their toe in the cumbia waters over the last few months. I like this track just as much as all of the other ones that I’ve heard lately. Good stuff.

Bar – TINI, L-Gante

TINI is easily the best part of this otherwise forgettable track. L-Gante doesn’t give a great performance and the composition is off.

PrendeLa Camara (Remix) – FMK, Tiago PZK, Mau y Ricky

Unexpected but pretty solid. I like this song for sure. It’s not one I will go back to very much but it’s an above average track that will get you going for sure.

828 – Alessha, Emilia

Did you think I would make this post without talking about the love of my life? This is a pretty decent track, my love notwithstanding. I was a fan of this track even if I listened to it without knowing who sang it. Worth the listen even if you don’t love Emilia as much as I do.

Aqui Estoy – PJ Sin Suela, Residente

I never thought of it before I saw this release but PJ Sin Suela teaming up with Residente makes a ton of sense based on their super-lyrical form of music. Both of them are socially conscious artists who have a deep interest in the art of creating music. This song could have used more Residente but its otherwise a fine song.

No Hay – El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico

To add on to Marc Anthony’s song earlier, it’s good we have some more salsa music this week. This, if I heard the lyrics correctly, is a Christmas song. It’s a good song for any Hispanic household heading into the holiday season and a good song overall.
