New Music Friday 12/31 – Happy New Year!

It’s New Music Friday once again. This week is super light on the new releases but that doesn’t mean we won’t make the most of it. Obviously this will be our last post of 2021 so

This week we have a new Bizarrap session as well as a new release from Pitbull. We also have the latest entries in the beef between Jhay Cortez and Rauw Alejandro.

Bizarrap Session 48 – Tiago PZK

Tiago PZK is one of those young artists with a ton of potential. I really liked him in “Rapido Lento” with Emilia. This is a pretty solid session from Bizarrap. I really like what he’s done here. Tiago has a bright musical future ahead of him. Sidenote – Am I the only one who got a weird vibe from the video? Like, Tiago was a little too sensual with this one right?

Discoteca – Pitbull, IAmChino

Pitbull and NYE really go together like NYE and drinking. “Time of Our Lives” is the New Years song. This song doesn’t rise to that level but I do have to admit, it’s a very fun track. I will also add that the lyrics are a bit on the explicit side. I wouldn’t say this is a family friendly song by any means.

Enterrauw – Jhay Cortez

At this point, we’re going to have to do a full post breaking down the beef between Rauw Alejandro and Jhay Cortez. At this point, it really is like Drake and Meek Mill. (Here’s a quick primer on the whole situation). The latest entry is this 7 minute diss track that really does not pull many punches. Speaking of punches, Cortez tells Rauw that even if Mayweather trained him, Rauw couldn’t land a punch. Yikes.

JhayConfeli – Rauw Alejandro

Well here’s the response from Rauw. There are a ton of lines to talk about here but Rauw telling Jhay that he only has success because of Bad Bunny is a dagger. Also accusing Cortez of abusing his baby’s mother is a hell of an accusation to throw out there. Wow, there’s a lot here. I did laugh at the line where Rauw says “my grandmother makes more money than you playing bingo”.
