Ladies and Gentlemen, it is New Music Friday once again. This week we have a ton of new music to get through from some of the biggest artists in the game so let’s get to work.

This week we have new songs from J Balvin, Ozuna, Romeo Santos, Farruko, Rauw Alejandro, and many more. We also have a new album from Danny Ocean, read our review here.

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

Deprima – Ozuna

Is Ozuna finally getting his act together again? He’s put out some straight up trash lately so this is a strong step back in the right direction. I’m a fan of this song without a doubt. Keep it up, Ozu. Latin music is better when you’re good.

Niño Soñador – J Balvin

Balvin has been very reflective lately. I guess he’s in the self-reflection period of his career. Beyond that, I was not expecting a rock song from the Colombian giant. I wouldn’t have expected it to work as well as it does. I’ll need to really listen to this a few times to fully tell you how I feel but the initial reaction is certainly a positive one.

Suelta – Farruko, Rauw Alejandro, Maria Becerra, Fatman Scoop, Dimelo Scoop, Mr. Vegas

Talk about a letdown. This has Farruko, Rauw, and Maria Becerra and we still can’t get a decent track. This feels like a lifeless Dura copycat. Not good. What a waste

Sus Huellas – Romeo Santos

Santos’s Formula Vol 3 easily has to be one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year. This is a strong indication that it will help meet the hype. There are some weird editing choices in here, like the chorus feeling almost muffled, but it’s getting me very excited for the future. This makes me want to dance bachata with a girl under some string lights on a summer night.

Esto Recien Empieza – Duki, Emilia

Okay so I’m going to put aside my hurt ego since Emilia is dating Duki. Should be me but hey, I’ll be the bigger man and not hold it against her. Emilia really crushes it here. I like a lot of her music but I feel like this is some of her best stuff. Very good track.

Fantasi – Tini, Beele

This isn’t anything really special unfortunately. It’s fine like a cup of lukewarm water is fine.

Llamada Perdida – Morat

I’ve said it a million times before but every Morat song sounds the same. They break that a little bit with this track. There are all of the familiar elements here, but they’re rearranged in a slightly new way. This is more or less exactly what you would expect.

La Culpa – C. Tangana, Omar Montes, Daviles de Novelda, Canelita

If C. Tangana’s next conquest is 70s disco/funk then sign me the fuck up. Tangana has such an incredible skill for making his music tributes feel authentic to their period. Tangana barely appears on this track but it has me very excited for whatever he does next.

60 Segundos – Eix, De La Ghetto,

The De La Ghetto return tour is still in full swing. This is a solid, mid-tempo song that anyone can really get down with. I’m a fan. Let’s keep it rolling.

Ya No Somos Ni Seremos – Christian Nodal

My thoughts on Mexican regional music is pretty well documented at this point. That being said, this isn’t a bad track by any means. It doesn’t do much for me but I can see others enjoying it.

Que Voy a Hacer – Ptazeta, Juacko

This track only gets a listen because of Ptazeta’s Bizzarap session. The next track gets a listen because this is a really good song. This is probably the biggest surprise of this week’s New Music Friday releases. I’m a big fan of this song. Give it a shot.

Envolver (Remix) – Anitta, Justin Quiles

Need to kick your remix up to the next level? Call Justin Quiles. This guy is just too good. His addition here really does a lot to make this a much better song. I’m a big fan of this remix.

Bellako Puñeta – Jon Z, Luar La L

Not a fan. Move on.

Go Fast – OHGEESY, Eladio Carrion

I’m truly only here for Eladio. OHGEESY is alright, I guess. Eladio does well enough here. I appreciate the bilingual rapping but it’s really nothing to write home about. Skip this.
