It seems like we get new music early every week now. This week we have some new songs from Pitbull, Nio Garcia, Casper Magico, Farruko, Justin Quiles, Danny Ocean, and plenty of others. We also have one of the weirdest songs of the year from Luis Fonsi. If you like Latin Music and, evidently, Bingo then this is the blog for you.
We’ll also have a review of Selena Gomez’s EP Revelacion up here ASAP.
Travesuras (Remix) – Nio Garcia, Casper Magico, Wisin & Yandel, Ozuna, Myke Towers
This might already be the remix of the year. This song was great to begin with but adding heavy hitters like Ozuna, Myke Towers, and Wisin & Yandel is like adding jet fuel to a campfire. This song perfectly blends old school and new school reggaeton to create one of the better Latin songs of the year so far.
Cuantas Veces – Danny Ocean, Justin Quiles
Danny Ocean and Justin Quiles are two of the most underrated artists in the game right now. Both have such unique styles that seem to blend genres while keeping one foot securely in urban music. This song is a perfect example of a song to have on while you’re alone in your car with the windows down on a summer night. It’s reflective but catchy. I’m a fan.
Ten Cuidado – Pitbull, Farruko, IAmChino, El Alfa, Omar Courtz
Pitbull has really been leaning into the whole EDM thing lately. I kind of love it. This song isn’t going to be a major hit by any means but it’s a very fun song. The beat is catchy and Farruko does a great job with the hook. This is the kind of fun song that some MLB player is going to use a walkup song this year, I can almost guarantee it.
Christian Dior – Jhay Cortez
At this point, it’s hard for Jhay Cortez to really have a miss. This song is tuff. Jhay Cortez has mastered this dembow heavy style of reggaeton. His flow is unmatchable. This song would undoubtedly be worse if it was sang by literally any other artist. Cortez is a star, and it’s time we start treating him that way.
No Hay Mas Que Hablar – Morat
I always forget that Morat exists which is really an insult to them because they produce nothing but hits. Most of their songs sound pretty similar but there’s enough variety in their category that anyone can really jump in. This is just a good soft rock/indie track. There’s a good cadence to it and it really hooks you. This is good track for the warm weather.
She’s Bingo – MC Blitzy, Luis Fonsi, Nicole Scherzinger
Am I missing something here? Is this a promo for some thrilling movie about a heist at a Bingo hall? Is this about some new Bingo-themed criminal? I feel so lost.
I almost hate to admit it, I actually kind of like this song. It’s stupid as all hell, but it’s catchy. As someone who’s played his fair share of competitive bingo, I can at least appreciate the attention to the game. But honestly, what the hell am I missing here? There has to be something I don’t know right? Guys?
