New Music Friday 5/20 –

It’s finally Friday and thank god. This week we have a bunch of new music to go through so let’s get to work.

This week we have new songs from Anuel, Eladio Carrion, Sech, Farruko, Tini, Ovi, and more!

Without further ado, let’s get at it.

Nota – Eladio Carrion, Nicki Nicole

Unfortunately we’re not starting off with a major hit. This song is as middle of the road as it gets. It’s nothing special. Love both artists but this ain’t it.

La Lelvo Al Cielo – Chris Jedi, Chencho Corleone, Anuel, Ñengo Flow

Chencho Corleone’s return to music has been awesome. He’s put out a #1 hit with Bad Bunny and now he has another solid showing here. I wish Plan B would get back together. In terms of the song overall, it’s not as good as I would have wished but it’s still pretty solid.

Noche de Teteo – Sech

A surprise for sure. I’m generally not a huge fan of Sech but this song surprised me. The switch toward the end was a surprising and very smart move. Good stuff.

Pegao – Camilo

An early contender for the best release of New Music Friday. I really like this song. It’s a fun dance song for the summer that’s destined to get you moving. I actually think the ceiling on this song is very high. I sense a hit.

Crazy – Dimelo Flow, Wisin, Ozuna

This brings me back to when artists would put out songs with a ton of artists on the track. There’s 5 here and everyone does a great job. It’s hard to point to a weak link. Even Ozuna, who I’ve been down on lately, does great here. Love it.

Paris – Morat, Duki

Great song. This is some great stuff. Duki perfectly blends his reggaeton style with Morat’s soft rock style and it blends better than you could imagine. Love it.

Nazareno – Farruko

I thought Farruko had retired but I guess I was mistaken. If he keeps putting out songs like this, I really hope he isn’t retired. This is a very good EDM song mixed with a throwback to the classic salsa track “El Nazareno“.

10 PM (Popular) – Blessd

This really isn’t for me. I didn’t get with this as much as others might. Not a fan.

Ya Los Pongo – Deorro, Los Tucanes de Tijuana

This is trash. Pure garbage.

Carne y Hueso – Tini

It’s nice to mix in a ballad every once in a while. This is pretty solid in that respect.

El Fucking MVP – Ovi

Ovi has a lot of talent and it’s starting to really show. I really like this track.

Cleopatra – Train, Sofia Reyes

Now this I can get down with. The lyrics are pretty weak but the song itself is solid. Worth the listen.

Sin Ti – MC Buzzz, Maikel Delacalle

I love the R&B vibe to this track. Delacalle hasn’t put out much music lately but hopefully this changes that. Very good track.
