Nicki Nicole is here with her sophomore album. The Argentinean artist gives us 16 tracks here in her first album as a mainstream artist. It’s a pop-centric album that feels very mainstream and widely acceptable.

Let’s start with some of the highlights. The best songs off the album are easily “Perdido”, “Darling”, and “Pensamos” with Mon Laferte. I also really liked “LL interlude” as well. The album combines a lot of pop sounds with some urban twists. That tends to happen when you have a bunch of collabs with Bizzarap.

When it comes to the singles off the album, “Toa La Vida”, “Sabe”, and “Baby” are all very good tracks. These are the kinds of tracks that will keep pushing her stock higher and higher. Songs like this are why I’ll always listen when she drops new music.

There are a few misses here. Some of them are just a little off while others are complete whiffs. Among the misses are “Mala Vida”, “Tengo To”, “Colocao”, and “Si Vos Me Lo Pedis”. There is potentially buried in this songs but it’s not realized in the way that we would expect. These tracks become a bit of a drag on the rest of the album and dilute the hits.

Final Thoughts

While there are some strong highlights on Parte de Mi, there are also a number of forgettable tracks. Nicki Nicole shows us a high level of potential in her 16 track debut album. Her pop style with it’s urban roots positions her for a bright future. There’s plenty of potential here to bring you in without a second thought but that potential isn’t necessarily realized just yet.
