Here we are for the Top 10 best songs of 2021. This year was filled with tons of great songs, some of which will go down as all-time classics. As always, these lists are nearly impossible to put together. If I forgot something, comment and let me know.

Honorable Mention: Ingobernable – C. Tangana, Gipsy Kings, Nicolas Reyes, Tonino Baliardo
C. Tangana’s El Madridleño was a great album. This is one of the best songs off of that great album. The deep Spanish roots of the album really come through on this track. The fruits of those roots are a rich, and layer track from one of the most interesting and experimental artists in Latin music.
10. Ella No Es Tuya (Remix) – Rochy RD, Myke Towers, Nicki Nicole
Hard to overstate how big of a song this has been all year. It almost singlehandedly put Nicki Nicole on my radar and it gave Myke Towers one of the biggest hits of his career. This song is a great anthem for any club or party. It’ll get the people going.
9. Fiel – Wisin, Jhay Cortez, Los Legendarios
This is kind of a cheat here. I couldn’t choose between the original version and the remix so included both. This song was a viral hit and helped add to the major year that Jhay Cortez has had. This is one of those songs that you’ll hear in the clubs for years to come.
8. El Makinon – Karol G, Mariah Angeliq
Karol G had herself a year. Her album KG0516 was one of our Top 5 albums of 2021 and this is one of the best songs of the year. This song will get the people moving. In a lot of ways, this is the opening track to the latest phase of Karol G’s career, and her superstardom.
7. Tiroteo (Remix) – Marc Segui, Rauw Alejandro, Pol Granch
Marc Segui jumped way up in our list of Best New Artists of 2021. The remix of “Tiroteo” is a huge reason why. This song is such a fresh sound that it deserves a spot on any of your playlists from here on out. Marc Segui will continue to produce massive hits for a long time at this rate. I hope they can all turn out like this one.
6. Volvi – Aventura, Bad Bunny
Aventura is BACK. There is no better way to make a comeback than with Bad Bunny by your side. This song touches on so many genres and styles successfully that it’s one of the songs that will far outlast 2021. There are few songs that are better for a night out than this.
5. Eladio Carrion BZRP Sessions Vol 40
It’s impossible to have a Best of 2021 list without including a contribution from Argentinian producer Bizarrap. The story of Latin Music in 2021 is incomplete without discussing Bizarrap. Eladio Carrion also had a gigantic year. It’s only fitting that we choose their combined forces for a spot on our list.
4. Ley Seca – Anuel AA, Jhay Cortez
It’s hard to choose just one song from either Jhay Cortez or Anuel. Both artists had major years. This track ranks way toward the top for both artists. This is another song that will last wll beyond 2021 as a major hit for years to come.
3. Pepas – Farruko
You know a Latin song is special when it gets a ton of white people in a random Midwest city fired up. That’s the experience I’ve had with “Pepas” this year. This is the new party anthem that will be with us for a long time. If you don’t know this yet, you will. If you’re getting sick of it, might I suggest the Tiesto Remix.
2. Yonaguni – Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny is undeniably one of the greatest artists of the year, and of the generation. He certainly has a skill for “Sad Boy” songs. This is no exception. One of his most poignant songs, this really hits on the deep pain of a lost love. The line “don’t look for me on Instagram, look for me at home” is such a powerful and cutting line for heartbreak in the modern world.
1. Todo De Ti – Rauw Alejandro
I would argue that this is probably the biggest Latin single for the English market since “Despacito”. This song had everybody dancing this year. Rauw had some smashes this year but this stands head and shoulders above the rest. It has a retro vibe that gets the people going.
