Ladies and gentlemen it is New Music Friday once again. This is a BIG week. Summer is basically here and we have some major releases.

This week we have new music from Carlos Vives, Tini, Jesse & Joy, Alejandro Sanz, Nio Garcia, and more! We also have a highly anticipated new album from Bad Bunny (read that review here).

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

La Triple T – Tini

This is a pretty standard summer pop song. I imagine it’s going to get a lot of airplay over the next few months. Does that mean it’s something special? No. Is it enjoyable enough? Yes.

Quimica – Amesty, Ovy on the Drums

I popped this song on for Ovy but I left a fan of Amesty. This is a very good song and I would say, it’s probably the biggest surprise of this week’s New Music Friday bunch. Very good, retro vibe. I’m a fan.

Imagina – Jesse & Joy

Jesse & Joy are cooking up something special if these last few releases are any indication. These singles are getting me pumped for the album. This is very good track that’s absolutely worth the listen.

Muero – Kany Garcia, Alejandro Sanz

This is a good track to slow things down with. It’s a pretty solid ballad that proves that Sanz still has it. It’s not a song I’ll come back to much but I like it.

Yo Quiero – Nio Garcia, Pailita

Can’t say this is the most memorable Nio Garcia song out there. Can’t say I remember anything about it two minutes after it ended. Do with that what you will.

Babel – Carlos Vives, Fito Paez

I can get down with this. This is a great song for the summer. I can just see myself sitting out on a balcony enjoying this under the mid day sun. Very good stuff.

La Borinqueña – Jose Feliciano

I’m glad Feliciano is still making music at 76 years old. His voice sounds as good as it did years ago. He may have aged but his voice certainly hasn’t. This a wonderful tribute to his homeland of Puerto Rico.

Se Me Olvido Otra Vez – Ralphy Dreamz

I didn’t know I needed a bachata version of this song but I certainly did. The original is one of my favorite Juan Gabriel songs (the cover by Placido Domingo is A+ as well). This is a fantastic interpretation of the song. Great stuff.
