How are we already near the end of August? Where the hell has this summer gone? Anyway, it’s New Music Friday again.

This week we have new songs from Jhay Cortez, Manuel Turizo, Alejandro Sanz, KHEA, Lele Pons, Juhn, Yandel, and plenty more. We also have a new album from Justin Quiles. Since it came out a bit early, you can ready our review here. Feid also released a new album which we will review as soon as we have the opportunity.

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

Nos Matamos – Jhay Cortez

Jhay Cortez is out for blood. This song takes some indirect shots at a lot of his rivals in the genre. It’s a tour de force from Cortez who has been involved in some disputes with Rauw Alejandro and others as of late. Honestly, I hope this kicks off a diss-track battle. That would be great for everyone.

Maldita Foto – TINI, Manuel Turizo

This is a solid light reggaeton track. This song is best enjoyed sitting outside on a warm summer night. It’s an easy track to fall into and enjoy.

Lejos Conmigo – Greeicy, Alejandro Sanz

I have to say, this song actually really surprised me. I was not expecting to like this as much as I did. If we’re being honest, I am not a fan of Greeicy. Just don’t like her voice. This song, however, is great. Sanz always brings the heat and Greeicy really helps to bring the song to a higher level.

Huele A Gol – Morat

I know I always say that Morat’s music all sounds the same but this is the combo breaker. This is a little heavier sound from Morat and it works really well. It’s a great song to be pumped up to. I can very easily see this getting played in a stadium and the crowd chanting along.

Rey – Sour, Yandel, Eladio Carrion

Shoutout to Yandel for going full trap in this song. There’s an aggressive edge to this song that’s missing in a lot of music in the genre today. While you probably won’t hear this played in a lot of clubs, I feel like it deserves the airtime. It’s a very good trap song that can get the people moving.

Dejame Tranki – LIT killah, KHEA

I don’t know what I was expecting here but it was not this. This is a very good song that takes a perfect, but unexpected, turn into a synth heavy track. It’s an impressive production. KHEA does great as always but the real surprise here is LIT killah. Good stuff from him for sure.

Abajo y Arriba – Lele Pons, Juhn

So is Lele Pons just putting out pretty decent Latin songs these days? Is that her new career path? If so, I’m not at all opposed to it. This is a pretty solid track. It gets the job done for the goals its trying to achieve. Good for Lele here. Good stuff.

Me Enamore de una fan – Marc Segui

Marc Segui has been one of the most best “out of absolutely nowhere” artists of the year. While this isn’t the “Tiroteo” remix, it’s still a very good song. Segui has a pretty unique and different sound but he really makes it work. He knows how to blend genres and tempos for a great result.

Vete Pal Carajo (Remix) – Yan Block, Jay Wheeler, DJ Nelson, Brytiago, Casper Magico, Nio Garcia

A slower reggaeton track, this gives a lot of very different but talented artists a lot of room to showcase themselves. This song is the product of the sum of its parts (obviously). It really relies on the lyrical talents of it’s artists instead of some slick production. It’s a pretty solid track that throws it back to the days of big remixes with a ton of artists.
