October is upon us. The fall is in full swing and we are full steam ahead with New Music Friday. This week is a big one.

We have new music from J Balvin, Daddy Yankee, Danny Ocean, Alex Rose, Marco Antonio Solis, and more!We also have a new album from Farruko.

For last week’s New Music Friday post, click here.

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

Sal y Perrea (Remix) – Sech, J Balvin, Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee and J Balvin are the GOATs of Latin music (Sech is eh in my opinion). Daddy Yankee has been on a cold streak lately but really returns to form here. Even though this is Sech’s song, Daddy Yankee is the one who shines. Balvin isn’t really memorable and Sech is alright. Overall though, I’m a fan of this remix. I can see it being a hit.

Parte de Mi – Nicki Nicole

Our girl has range. As opposed to the reggaeton bangers that’s she’s put out before, this is a much more sentimental track. It’s a ballad that shows a tender side of Nicki. I wasn’t really expecting this but it’s a beautiful track.

De Cora – Dalex, Alex Rose, D-Note the Beatllionare

Alex Rose is on a bit of a hot streak lately. This is like the 3rd New Music Friday in a row that we’ve talked about him. This song isn’t a home run but instead is a solid double. It more than gets the job done and is worth the add to any playlist.

Rapido Lento – Emilia, Tiago PZK

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this track but an R&B sound certainly wasn’t anywhere near what I was expecting. This is a very engaging and fun song. It just makes you want to dance. This is probably one of the best songs of Emilia’s young career and gives the most hope for her potential.

Tu no me conoces – Danny Ocean, TINI

Danny Ocean really is a special artist. He has such a unique sound that just connects on such a different level than so many other artists. It’s hard to describe his sound but its a party vibe with sentimentality. It’s perreo with romance. However you describe it, this is another great track from the Venezuelan artist.

fue mejor – Kali Uchis, SZA

I don’t always know how to quantify Kali Uchis. She’s obviously a very talented crossover artist but she very much exists in her own space. This is a good song if you’re already a fan of Uchis. If you’re new to her stuff, this probably isn’t going to win you over. But hey, major props to her for bringing more American artists into the fold.

Bachatica – Leslie Grace

Let’s get some bachata in the mix tonight. This comes to us courtesy of In the Heights star Leslie Grace. It’s a nice little bachata song. It’s nothing crazy or anything like that but it’s a nice song to dance a bit to and include in your bachata playlist.

Mi Caserio – Casper Magico

This is some good ole fashioned trap. Honestly, this is one of the better songs that Casper has released as a solo artist. I’m a fan of this song for sure. Good stuff.

Lealtad – Dglo73, Chucky73

Chucky73 earned my interest and respect with his Bzrp session. Whenever his name comes up on New Music Friday, I’ll give it a shot. I haven’t been disappointed yet. There’s something so down to earth about this song that makes you feel like you’re in special small group hearing it. This isn’t meant as an insult but it sounds like this is a song recorded in a garage. I mean that in the best way possible. It’s real and it’s authentic and it’s very enjoyable.

Que Ganas De Verte – Marco Antonio Solis

One of our early Throwback Thursday posts, Marco Antonio Solis has returned with a new single. This song takes Solis back to his Mexican roots and is in a ranchera style. This doesn’t rank up there with his classics but it’s a solid song if you like ranchera and Solis. Otherwise, maybe don’t spend your time with this track.
