Mora is back after last year’s debut album. His sophomore album titled Microdosis is his first major release in sometime. How did we feel about the Puerto Rican artist’s new project? Let’s break it down.

Let’s start with the positives. The album is 15 songs which is a perfect length. Of those 15 songs, there are plenty to like. “Lindor”, “Pecado”, “badtrip :(“, and “La Inocente” are all fantastic tracks. . My favorite song off the album is by far “Memorias”. Hell, that might end up being one of my songs of the year. Jhay Cortez and Mora always create absolute jams when they’re together. Absolutely fantastic track.

Now, over to the negatives. I wouldn’t say that there are bad songs on this album. But, there are plenty of songs that are forgettable. I listened to this album at the gym and a good number of the songs blended together. They didn’t blend together like Dark Side of the Moon, it was more like a mush that I couldn’t really tell apart. That being said, there weren’t any songs that I just hated or anything like that. There were just a lot of forgettable tracks. Ultimately, those forgettable tracks drag the project down a few levels. This isn’t better this his debut, but it’s close.

Final Thoughts

While Microdosis gives us some of the best hits of the year, it also gives us some unnecessary filler. Songs like “badtrip :(” and “Memorias” will be bumping all summer long. Unfortunately, they’re weighed down by a slew over songs that are just average. Regardless, Mora is setting himself up for a pretty decent career moving forward.
