Ladies and gentlemen, it is once again New Music Friday. It’s also April Fool’s Day so keep an eye out for that. Not sure that we have too many jokes today other than Rosalia’s last album.

This week we have new music from Enrique Iglesias, Anuel, Justin Quiles, Duki, De La Ghetto, Ricardo Montaner, and many more! We also have a new album from Mora (you can read the review here).

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

Espacio en tu Corazon – Enrique Iglesias

I like to think this track is Enrique’s attempt to get back on track after his album left a bad taste in our mouths. This isn’t a greatest hit or anything but it’s a solid track that gets the job done.

Si Tu Me Busca – Anuel AA, Yailin la mas Viral

I’ll be honest, I don’t like this song. There just isn’t a lot for me to get behind here.

SMP (Sol, Mar y Playa) – KEVVO, Farruko, Wisin

This song had a ton of potential. Farruko and Wisin are the kings of Summer mega-hits. This just doesn’t live up to that legacy. The song is fine but it doesn’t add up to the sum of it’s part. With these much hit making talent, it shouldn’t be just “fine”.

El Dia Que Me Quieras – Ricardo Montaner

“El Dia Que Me Quieras” is one of the most covered songs in the Spanish language so it makes sense that we would eventually get a version from Montaner. His version is very heavily tango-influenced which makes it different from, say, Luis Miguel’s version. I prefer Miguel’s version but there’s a lot to enjoy here. This is a solid interpretation without a doubt.

Si Quieren Frontear – Duki, De La Ghetto, Quevedo

This is an early frontrunner for my favorite new song of this New Music Friday. This is awesome. I love the attitude and rock/rap fusion Duki gives us here. This is the song to get your ego juiced to here.

El Congreso – Brytiago, Bryant Myers

In the first 15 seconds, I thought this was about to be a smash. Then, it didn’t really turnout that way. This is fine but it doesn’t live up to what it could be. I don’t love the beat pattern they underlaid on this track. Something more straightforward would have probably been more effective. It’s fine but a missed chance.

Estrellas – Natanael Cano

Cano drops his signature corrido tumbado sound here. This is much more standard and straightforward trap/rap track. Let me tell you, it works really well. This is some good stuff. It hits the exact right vibe to be a song you can just chill to. Great stuff.

Romance – Fred de Palma, Justin Quiles

This was a pretty pleasant surprise. I was a big fan of this track, much more than I expected to be. Definitely worth the listen.

Bitcoin – ChocQuibTown

This is just eh. It doesn’t really feel like it has the kind of oomph it needs to make it a great song.

Sueño – Llane, Omar Montes

I can get down with this track. It’s not the song of the week but it’s pretty okay.
