Without further ado, let’s get to work.

Ultra Solo (Remix) – Polima Westcoast, Palita, Feid, De La Ghetto

Can’t say I was overly impressed with this. I don’t really get the hype around this song. It’s fine but not something I’m ever going to listen to again.

Mayor Que Usted – Natti Natasha, Daddy Yankee, Wisin & Yandel

Now this is the kind of shit I get down for. These are legends getting together and updating classics. For those of you who don’t know, this is homage to the classic “Mayor Que Yo” songs. Instead of being a song about younger men wanting to get with older women, it’s about a younger girl wanting to get with older men. It doesn’t necessarily stick the landing but it’s very good regardless.

Nasa – Camilo, Alejandro Sanz

This really isn’t anything out of the ordinary for Camilo or Sanz. It’s a pretty standard ballad that builds to a decent crescendo. It’s nothing to write home about.

Don’t You Worry – Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, David Guetta

When I saw this come out, it immediately became the most intriguing release on the New Music Friday playlist. I didn’t know what to really expect. After listening I’m in the business of making guarantees. This song will definitely make it’s way into the mainstream. It definitely reminds me of the “I Gotta Feeling” era of Black Eyed Peas which sets it up to dominate the charts and eventually get a ton of hate from people who say it’s too mainstream. Upon first listen, I like it but I guarantee this will be overplayed into the ground.

Gol – Jon Z, Morad

Hate to say it but this isn’t going to make it to our list of the Top Soccer Songs of All Time. It’s not a bad song. It’ll probably end up in FIFA next year (or whatever it’s called) but it’s not something I’m going to remember after two minutes.

Yo Por Ti – VIZE, Abraham Mateo, Sofia Martin

Now this is a banger. One of my biggest surprises of New Music Friday. I can get down with this in a big way. Great stuff. This is now on my summer playlist.

Solo Para Ti – Alvaro Soler, Topic

This is another great surprise. It’s a bit of a changeup from Soler’s usual style but it still keeps the core of what who he is. This is a really fun song. I’m a big fan.

Guarida – Bryant Myers

I feel like Bryant Myers hasn’t released a lot of music lately so it’s good to see him back to putting stuff out. This is a solid return if not forgettable. It’s alright but nothing that you’ll remember when it’s over.
