Happy New Music Friday! We’re somehow already halfway through September and I have officially lost track of time. Time is flying by. Also, happy first New Music Friday of Hispanic Heritage Month.

This week we have a loaded lineup. We have new songs from Sebastian Yatra, C Tangana, Becky G, CNCO, Feid, and plenty of others! We also have new albums from Enrique Iglesias and Arcangel as follow ups to last week’s new album from J Balvin.

Without much further ado, let’s get after it.

Tarde – Sebastian Yatra

This is a nice slow track to get the ball rolling. It’s a ballad which is the kind of music that Yatra thrives in. This isn’t the best Yatra ballad out there but it’ll get the job done if this is the kind of music you’re looking for.

Baila Asi – Play-N-Skillz, Becky G, Thalia

I guess Becky G just makes cumbia now? I’m not complaining one bit. This is the kind of song that I can see getting a lot of play when you’re out and about. It’s a fun song and I’m glad Play-N-Skillz is back and putting out music like this.

Que Se Guaye -CNCO, Alex Rose

I was not a fan of CNCO’s last album so it’s good to see that they’re getting back on the right track here. This is a step in the right direction. I have to admit this isn’t the comeback I was expecting from Alex Rose but I’m glad he’s back at it. Pretty decent track.

Llori Pari – Alvaro Diaz, Feid, Tainy

Feid and Tainy are probably two of the best producers of the last 20 years so it’s great to have them working together here. This song is definitely an example of the two of them creating a unique sound. It generally works but I wouldn’t say this is my favorite new song of the week by any means.

Ya No Vales – Alizzz, C. Tangana

I can really get down with this track. This is just a very good rock track. C. Tangana has such an incredible ability to bring new artists and new sounds into the mainstream like no one else. This is a perfect example. Great track.

Si Yo Estoy Loco – San Luis, Fonseca

This is a nice, relaxed song to add to your playlist. This isn’t going to get you on the dancefloor or anything like that but it’s a nice song. It’s a palette cleanser from heavier songs. It has a light, pop sound that’ll put you at ease and let you kick back and relax.

Que Le Gusta el Flow – Snow Tha Product, Jon Z

Solid rapping over a very repetitive and basic beat. Not really much more to say than that. It’s not a hit by any means but could be enjoyable if you like either Jon Z or Snow Tha Product.

Tu Favorito – Luar La L

I like the beat here but I feel like a lot of Luar’s rapping is meant for a different song. Specifically, when he starts rapping with speed, it feels like a weird juxtaposition with the relatively chill beat that underpins the song. Not bad, but I think he’ll want to redo this in the future.

Pal Suelo – J Alvarez, Wyclef Jean, El Micha

My first question here was “Wyclef Jean still makes music?”. If you already knew that, then you’re a better man than I. I had no idea. Also what a random trio of artists on this track. It generally works but it’s still very weird. This isn’t a memorable track by any means but ya know, I’ve heard worse.

Madrid – PJ Sin Suela

Remember when PJ Sin Suela was putting out unique songs and had some clever lyrics? Yeah those days are gone. Hate to say it but this song is garbage.
