Ladies and gentlemen, it is New Music Friday once again. We’re officially fully in the Spring so the tunes are about to start heating up.

This week we have new songs from Ozuna, Paulo Londra, Carlos Vives, Sebastian Yatra, Boza, Maraiah Angeliq, and more!

Without further ado, let’s get after it.

Apretaito – Ozuna, Boza

I think this is as good of an example that you’ll find of Ozuna losing a few off his fastball. 2018 Ozuna would have taken this song and made it the song of the summer. 2022 Ozuna gives us an okay song that doesn’t move the needle in any meaningful way.

Chance – Paulo Londra

The Paulo Londra come back continues. This is a pretty solid track. I can see this being one of the bigger songs of this batch of New Music Friday songs. I’m not crazy about it but it’s solid.

Instagram – Blessd

Blessd was a candidate for new artist of the ear last year and good tracks like this are why. Very much worth the listen.

Until She’s Gone – Matteo Bocelli, Sebastian Yatra

Well this is going on the Sad Boy Season playlist. I’ve heard a bit from Matteo Bocelli over the years but this is really my first introduction to him as an artist outside of his father. You can hear the similarities in their voices which obviously means he’s incredibly talented. Yatra isn’t to be messed with here either. Very moving stuff.

Hey Siri – Mariah Angeliq

This beat sounds like someone recorded their dishwasher having a stroke. This song sucks man.

Mar Y Tierra – Santa Fe Klan

I will always contend that Santa Fe Klan is one of the most interesting and unique artists in the game today. This was a bit more of an introspective track than we might be used to from him but I really enjoyed it. Good stuff.

No Te Basto, Mi Corazon – Pol Granch

This track touches on a few different genres and I can get down with all of it. There’s a little light rock, a little pop, and some other things mixed in. The mix works really well and doesn’t ever feel jarring. Good stuff.

Piketona – Lele Pons, Kim Loaiza

I liked this a lot more than I expected to. This is pretty good stuff that feels like it’s made for the club, but not in a EDM way. This is much more of a party track than I expected from Pons. One of my favorite tracks of the week.

La Equivocada – CNCO

CNCO’s sound isn’t as strong as it was when Joel Pimentel was still a member, that’s for sure. This song is fine but it doesn’t really hit the same.

KU’ – LIT Killah, De La Ghetto, L-Gante

This was surprsingly one of my other favorite’s of New Music Friday. De La Ghetto, unlike Ozuna, can still throw his fastball and paint the corner of the plate. This is some surprisingly great stuff.

Perreito Under – Kevin Roldan, Dekko

Kevin Roldan really hasn’t released too much music lately but I have to say, this is one of his better tracks in a while. I’m a fan.

Antes – KYEN?ES?, Obie Bermudez, Sergio George

I’m not really impressed by this song. It feels like it doesn’t know what it wants to be. At one level it has a reggaeton base but then it has Sergio George going to town on the keyboard like it’s a salsa track. The two things don’t blend. Can’t say I’m a fan.
