It’s New Music Friday once again. Just when I started to think that there hasn’t been any good new music released lately, boy oh boy was I proven wrong. We are on a heater this week ladies and gentlemen.
This week we have new music from J Balvin, Maluma, Feid, … Emilia, … and … We also have the latest and final album from Daddy Yankee. You can read our review here.

Without further ado, let’s get after it.
Sigue – J Balvin, Ed Sheeran
I was wondering when we were going to get an early contender for song of the summer. Well, I think we found it. Ed Sheeran’s Spanish is actually pretty impressive for someone who clearly doesn’t speak the language. This song is going to be a smash hit so hop on the train early.
Forever My Love – J Balvin, Ed Sheeran
Jokes on me, I thought there was only one release from these two. This is much more of the singer-songwriter tracks that you would expect from Ed Sheeran. I also believe this is the first time in years that we’ve heard J Balvin sing in English. I guarantee that this will be someone’s wedding song very soon.
Mojando Asientos – Maluma, Feid
I really get down with this track. I think this is a perfect track for both of these artists to keep their respective momentums up. Big fan of this.
Plan A – Paulo Londra
Paulo Londra’s long long absence is finally over. Londra got off to a hot start in his musical career but then, due to a dispute with his label, basically fell off the face of the earth. His first release isn’t the barnstorming restart we were hoping for. His singing sounds like it’s made for a reggaeton trap but the backing production was switched with a rock track. Kind of strange if we’re being honest.
Tacones Rojos (Remix) – Sebastian Yatra, John Legend
Yatra getting into the bilingual remixes is probably a great business choice. I’m sure this will be a marginally big hit here in the States. Do I prefer it to the original? No. But the English should help make it a little more acceptable to an American crowd.
Refugio – Evaluna Montaner
Evaluna Montaner has a beautiful voice, I honestly wish she would put out more songs like this. I’m a big fan of this. She obviously comes from a talented family so I hope she’s able to define herself as the strong female voice of the musical clan.
Salvavidas – Piso 21, Ñejo
There’s a light summer vibe to this that I like. Otherwise, it’s an otherwise forgettable track.
Cuatro Vente – Emilia
Emilia is an artist to keep an eye on in 2022. I have a feeling she’s about to push her stardom even higher. This is a pretty solid track. Hoping for more like this.
La Receta – Calacote, JENCARLOS
Who else remember’s Jencarlos’s “Tu Sombra”? What a banger that was. Well, that song is the only reason I listened to this track. Honestly, the song is fine. However, Jencarlos sounds nothing like he used to. His voice is almost completely different. It’s a weird transition if we’re being honest.
